Rev. James Renwick and wife Elizabeth Simpson Renwick came from Dervock, Co. Antrim, Ulster, Ireland in 1770. They had 4 chldren:
Agnes (called "Nancy") - b. in Dervock 2 Oct 1768. Married (?) John Machen - had 8 children.
John Renwick Jr. - b. 32 Dec. 1770 aboard ship 2 days before landing at Charleston. d. 20 Nov. 1836. M. Jane Wright Bothwell. Homesite off Old Whitmire Hwy. n. of Newberry.
Mary Ann Renwick - b. 8 June 1773 in Newberry District., d. 18 Jan. 1801. M. John Cary Royston.
James William Miller Renwick (my ancestor), b. 1779 in Newberry District. D. 18 Mar 1816. Married Elizabeth Abrams.
James and Elizabeth had, among others, (Col.)William John Simpson Renwick. b.18 May 1813 d. 30 Mar 1837. Homes: Felker-Setzler Rd., off Old Whitmire Hwy, and at the end of Seymour Branch Rd. on Beth Eden Rd. - main house recently restored.
Look for graves in Old Kings Creek cemetery off Bracelman's Bridge Rd.
