Dawn and Mary - I'm also researching Agnes(Nancy)Renwick. I do not believe Agnes married her husband or have seen no records that he existed. I do believe that Agnes had two children...Leah (b. 1795)and Dr. Nathan Renwick (d. Nov 11, 1867 and married to Mariah T. McCreless b. 1809 d. Nov 1878). Leah as you are aware had eight children with John Machen(b. Sept 1, 1793 in Spartanburg SC d. 1883 in Arkansas)...John H.,Nathan K., Roseannah, John W., Nancy Mariah (b.1826 d. Sept 24, 1866 in Bastrop LA), John Lewis, Frank Leonades, and William Simpson...Dr. Nathan Renwick had for children...Geraldine Hornora, Maria, Wiley Polk, and John Pressley (Nov 12, 1838 in Benton County AL d. Aug 10, 1862 Oakhill Missouri. John Pressley Renwick is my gggrandfather, he is somewhat a rogue in that he married his first cousin (Nancy Mariah Machen). I have other information...including two court cases involving Leah and her sons who apparently stole slaves from their mother and sold them illegally, claims court suit, diploma of John Pressley from Kentucky Military Institute.....would love to share information.
