I recently received a request for information on Melinda Loretta RENAGER married to Goodloe MARTIN in 1890 in Lincoln County, TN. In my research it was spelled RENEGAR, although I looked up RENNINGER, RENINGER, RENEGOR, RENNAGER, and RENNIGER. My connection was Mary RENEGAR who married Jacob HOOTS on October 16, 1819 in Surry County, NC, then moved to Lincoln County, TN. So, this is way before Melinda. It has been a number of years since I did this research, but my impression was that there were a number of RENEGAR families in the Lincoln County area. Any ideas about Melinda?
