Does anyone know who the parents of this lovely lady were?
Sarah A. Renn was born in Sodus, N.Y. March 9, 1824. She lived in her native state until after her marriage at Webster, Monroe county, Oct. 27, 1842 to Mr. Charles Welcher. In the same year she came with her husband to Michigan where she has since resided. She gave her heart to God in 1850 and has since enjoyed the comforts and blessings of the Christian religion. To Mr. and Mrs. Welcher were born nine children, seven of whom still survive. Mrs. Welcher died at her home in Decatur, March 21, 1902. She leaves a husband, seven children and a circle of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Manning officiating. Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery.
