LaVerne,Jean and Dwayne,
I thought I could clearify my info witht his posting to all of you. I think I did have somethings confused. So here goes...
This information was collected off of the tombstones of the cemetary in Pineville, KY which most of my relatives are buried. (I live in Cincinnati). I'll just list them as I wrote it down.
James Renfro Sr. 11-19-1763 to 7-29-1835 married too:
Charity Ann Huff Renfro 12-23-1763 to 4-06-1851, they were my grandmothers great grandparents.
Now I get confused, so I'll just put down what I copied.
James T. Renfro (Jr.?) 2-9-1834 to 4-28-1862 was married to Susan L. Renfro (who married Carlos B. Brittain when James died).
The only child I know of was a daughter named Lucy Renfro 1857-1918 who married,
T.J. Hoskins 18-44-1927, these are my great grandparents. Their children were:
Susan Hoskins Gragg, Admiral John Hoskins and Elizabeth (Bessie) Hoskins 12-1-1883 to 4-26-71 (my fathers mother)
The Graggs had 6 children that surrived.
Bessie had one son, Marion (my father) with her second husband Sterling Williams who had peach orchards in Cumberland Gap and one daughter and another son from her first marriage to a guy with the last name of White.
Admiral Hoskins had one daughter who married and had two children. Her husband went crazy when his kids were somewhere around 6 and shot the admiral's daughter, the two kids and himself. They all died.
I can give you more information on the Graggs and Bessie's family if anyone needs it. I hope this clears up my mistakes.
I must tell you the interesting thing is my mother's parents who located with the coal industry to this part of Kentucky and never met any of my dad's family ended up buried in the same graveyard!Small World!
