There was a Rabe Rentfrow in the family of Henry Rentfrow of Houston County, Texas, and I think as far back as the census of Fayette Co., GA 1850.Anyhow, Raby is in Henry's family per census of Houston Co., TX 1860, but his name was corrupted to read, "Ravey."Raby was in the Civil War, and I think he went back to GA to join one of the "home" units there, then returned to TX afterward.Suggest you see Fayette Co., GA census first for 1850, then look at Houston Co., TX for 1860, and subsequent years.Henry was my ancestor's brother, and they migrated from Fayette Co., GA around 1857.Henry first farmed up at Elkhart, near Anderson Co., TX line, when first they arrived, then received a grant of land from TX about 1860.Henry and his son, John H. received land grants circa 1860 in Houston Co., TX.
