I've been trying to track the Renfros that came to the Cumberland Area, some with John Donelson, some Overland.I can document the following on June 1, 1780: Moses, Isaac, James, Peter, Joseph and two named William. Also Nathan and Solomon Turpin.Every thing I find states Nathan Turpin killed first on Red River (Renfro Station)Joseph then killed (Battle Creek Massacre), Peter killed near current day Nashville (Eaton's Station). James and #1 William, (son of Joseph)went back to VA.James and Isaac end up in KY.Joseph's widow, Olive married James Shaw, they eventually go to KY (12 to 15 years later). What I want to know is itdocumented anywhere what happened to Moses and second William? Were these brothers or fathers and sons. Also what happened to Solomon Turpin?
I think Moses may have been killed at Battle Creek. Most old histories say "all were killed" or "12 to 20 were killed".
