There is an excellent Genealogical book available on the Reneau, Reno, Renno, and other spelling of the name. They have a common ancestor. The book is: "Genealogy of the Reno/Reneau Family in America, 1600-1920." complied by Dr. Steve Fancy and Sue Damewood. Steve has a website. Don't have the address handy right now. If a search does not produce it, let me know. The party you are looking for is probably in the book as the Reneau settled in Virginia, then migrated to Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and other points west.
