Most of the Renauds in extreme south Texas (Willacy and
Cameron counties), as well as many in the San Antonio area,
descend from Louis Philippe Renaud, who came from France
to Brownsville around 1851.There, he married, started
his family, and began ranching. It is said that much of
their land later became part of the King Ranch.
Louis Phillipe Renaud, born 1818, died 1872.
married Carmelita Longoria Levrier. She was born 15 Nov 1831,
