Wait or Waity Remington married Capt. Reuben Mathewson in Johnston, Providence Co. RI April 16, 1800. She died in Johnston May 11, 1814 leaving 5 children. Two son's were mentioned in Reuben's probate, Henry Remington Mathewson (born in Johnston about 1812), brother Reuben Mathewson Jr (unknown birthdate). In the 1850 Census, one of Henry's son's Joseph Henry Mathewson(age 14) was in the household of Caleb & Joannah (Levalley) Remington (Caleb age 66).
I cannot find the connection between Wait(y) and Caleb.
I don't know who their parents were.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
