Hello Robert,
I have some good information for you.
My late wife was a Remillard and I am trying to fill in the family tree for our son. Her father was Alfred Remillard and his father was Phil, your grandfather.
Phil married a Kathleen Madigan, born in New York in 1885.
They had a number of children:
Violet born in 1910 (Now deceased) who Married John Flatt and lived in St Paul. They had two kids, still living. John C "Jack" in Sedona Arizona and Margaret "Peggy" Johnson, living in the Mpls/ St P area. Jack knows quite a bit about Phil, and I'd bet would be happy to talk to you. He's a great guy.
Alfred (my father-in-Law, now deceased) was born 2/24/1911 in Duluth and married Mary Catherine Gallagher (also decease) from Luck, WI. They had three kids, Jeanne Marie, Renee Claire (my wife) and Alan Page.
Langford was born in 1913 and is still alive, living in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, as far as I know. He had a mess of kids.
Emmett was born in 1913 and William in 1919. I know very little about these two men.
Phil owned a barbershop in Duluth and my wife used to like to hang around there when she was little. Her family moved away in 1957, going to New Mexico and ultimately, So Calif.
I have found and added quite a bit of information on Ancestry.com, but anything you can provide on Phil's ancestors would be great. I ran into a dead end, and now understand why; I had no idea of his problem youth.
