Hello Arlene, I do not know the parents of your Octave. You mentioned that his Mother was a Chateauguay. I can tell you that Chateauguay was a dit or aka for the Perreault family in the Berthier area. I have only seen one marriage of a Perreault-Chateauguay to a Remillard. However, the couple would have had to have been Octave's Grandparents for they married in 1787. I can give you that info if you want it. I also have the Farly ancestry.
