Thanks for the response. If any of the offspring of your Jacob Rish remained in Pa, there is a chance my GGfather Jacob Reisch was related. Known history: Jacob Snyder Reisch was born abt. 1850 in Dauphin County to Daniel and Sara Snyder Reisch. Daniel was a farmer and possibly turned his farm over to oldest son, Samuel, and became a carpenter (acc. to 1870 Pa Census).Jacob's other siblings were Pete;Daniel;Hannah;Susan. Jacob was a carpenter and moved around a lot. he was not listed in 1870 Census. He lived in Massilon,Ohio where my GMother was born in 1878.
Her mother, who died shortly after, was named as Lib Dressler, daughter of a Lutheran minister(acc. Family recall)G.Mother spoke only German until she went to school. No records found on this info.
Jacob moved to Pgh.Pa and re-married.
Spellings are from Jacob's death certificate. 1931.
Let me know if any of this relates. Thanks
