Looking for known descendents of W. C. Crutchfield who married Malesha Reins. Bondsman was A. C. Johnson. Witness was RC Cotton. The event took place in Chatham Co., NC, Dec 17, 1865.
I am interested in finding a record of marriage for Wilson C. Crutchfield (b. June 1835 NC, d. Jan 1919 Siler City, NC. Buried at Mr. Vernon Methodist Church Cem. at Silk Hope, NC.) and Lutritia/Lutissie Rieves (b. Dec. 18, 1846 in NC, d. June 16, 1885 in Kernersville, NC. where she is buried in an unmarked grave.) Lucretia/ Lucetta's name may be spelled any way. Why couldn't it be Malesha Reins/Rieves? Their first child was Sarah Jane "Sallie" Crutchfield b. Oct. 28, 1867. Those following were John Henry b. June 8, 1871; Thomas T. b. Dec 28, 1874; Charlie Haggai/Hagger b. Aug 28, 1879; Mattie Pearl b. Sept 28, 1883. All were born in NC in or around Guilford, Alamance, and Chatham Co.
