GORDON REINIGER, b. abt. 1914, NY
I found a 6-yr-old child, minus parents, listed as a grandson in the 1920 Census living in Stillwater, Saratoga, NY.He is in a home headed by a widowed Margaret HUMPHREY, age 50, b. NY (par: b. Ireland).I am guessing that the mother of this child was Margaret's daughter and I'm further guessing that she died in the 1918 flu which hit that area of NY hard.I may or may not have found the father of this child (probably not):Arthur C. Reiniger, 20, b. NY, boarding not far away in Half Moon, Saratoga, NY.He is some unreadable kind of clerk for the railroad.Of interest is that next to where he is boarding are yet other possible relatives (Connor and Griffin).More than a bit coincidental considering the size of these towns.
