Auguste Reinholz

Anyone related?

My grandmother was Auguste Reinholz (her maiden name.) She was one of 13 children. Her father was a tailor, or so I was told. Not sure where in Germany they lived.

Auguste immigrated to the US, (Cleveland OH)as Auguste Michaelis, in 1898. She married Friedrich Michaelis in Germany, not sure where. Is as Michaelir on Ellis Island records.

A younger brother Wilhelm Reinholz also immigrated with them. My understanding their last address in Germany was believed to be Barth. So near the Baltic perhaps.

She may have also been born or married in Ludendorff. Since 3 Ludendorffs in Germany, not sure which one.

Love to know more about her & or relatives.
Supposedly Wilhelm Reinholz, who was 15 when he came to the US decided to return to Germany.
