Are you sure the Charles who died in 1903 is your ancestor? Alfred and Albert are often confused for each other especially if people normally knew them as Al. Here's another database you might be interested in: http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?datestamp=1195390820093#p=collectionDetails;c=1320976 It lists some more info on him you may not have. It shows he was buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Have you checked with the cemetery office for what info they may have on him or others buried with him: http://www.mountmoriahcemetery.org/ You might also check with the Historical Society of Pennsylvania to see if they might have something. He may have had other things written about him. Despite the fact his obit says Charles was a New York native I believe he might be the same Charles Rhinehardt, age 8/12, who appears in the 1860 census as the son of Charles W. Rhinehardt 33 and Mary 35 living in Phaildelphia. The elder Charles is a Professor of Music and born in Hanover. Mary is listed as born in Germany. Also listed is Alfred, age 6. The 1870 census shows the family living in Baltimore, MD under the spelling of Reinhart. It shows the oldest daughter Wilhelmina 21 as born in MD while everyone else is listed as born in PA. The elder Charles is listed as a music teacher. The 1850 census shows C. V. Reinhardt 22 musician, Mary and Wilhelmina in Baltimore, MD. Notify Administrator about this message?
