Hello,
I am looking for a connection for Asberry/Asbury Reinhart. He was born in 1828. He lived in Missouri, but apparently, was not born here, but moved here from out East. My parents believe he came from the Ohio area. I thought I could find some similarities in names, and make a connection, but have been unable to make the connections. His children's names are as follows:
Chauncy L. Reinhart
Sylvester Ingram Reinhart
Henry R. Reinhart
Sherman Asberry/Asbury Reinhart
Mary Reinhart
William Gordon Reinhart
Emanuel Otto Reinhart (died as infant)
Sylvester was my mother's dad. He was born in 1882. As far as I know, all the children were born in Missouri, but we believe Asberry moved here before he ever got married, from Ohio, or maybe Kentucky. But still, we really don't know. Looking at the pictures of the Peter Reinhart children (on reinhartgenealogy.com), in the old family photos, makes me believe that Asberry had to be a brother, or close cousin of Peter. The family resemblances are hard to dismiss. If anyone knows of any names that are similar to these (as families tend to name children after grandparents, uncles, etc.), please let me know. This is really the only family side where I keep running into dead ends. Thanks!
