John Reidy is my Great grandfather. He was born circa 1851 in county Cork and married a Bridget Harrigan sometime around 1879 within the Parish of Shandrum, probably in St Joseph's church. (Newtownshandrum is the continuation of the old Parish of Shandrum and is about a 10 minute drive from Charleville.) Their children were named: Mary, John and William. Just around the turn of the century, they left Shandrum for Montreal, Quebec. If anyone has more information on John Reidy's parents, brothers or sisters, please reply.
