What exactly is this thing your talking about? I assume it's some kind of plaque?

Does it give any names other than Reichert? Any idea where this thing came from?

What exactly does "18 C Reichert 88" mean? Any idea?

My husband's g-grandpa came from Bavaria (exact place unknown). He married, had children and passed away in Essex Co., NJ. The widow and her 2 sons migrated down to Ohio where several still live today.
