I was just wondering who this kind woman was. She had left my Aunt a small legacy in her will.
My Aunt was named Catherine Fischer and was a retarded woman who lived with her sister and her husband (my grandparents:James McConaghy and Elizabeth Fischer McConaghy). When my grandmother died, my father would not let her come live with us (I was 10 yrs old at the time and remember the sadness) and talked my grandfather into putting her into a home. They sent her to the Hamburg State School and Hospital in Hamburg, Phila. I never saw her again.
My mother told me she died sometime in the 1980s. My Aunt was an innocent sweet person who had some very sad experiences. When I got older I asked my father why he did'nt take her in, he got mad and told me it was none of my business.
My sister found an old letter from a law firm in Phila. (Law offices of Sheer, McDevitt & Mazzocone) dated December 29, 1964. It was informing my grandfather of will.
Well, again, I was wondering who this kind person was. The letter states "I represent the Trustee of a Deed of Trust created by Helene Wittmer Reichert in 1937".
I would appreciate anyone who recognizes the name to please respond.
