Michael Reichard 1756-1847 Northampton/Lehigh Cty
I'm looking for any info on the parentage, immigration to America, and European origins of Michael Reichard/Reichart (1756-1847). He apparently settled in Williams Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania (south of Easton). He married Elizabeth ? (1758-1825). Both are buried at the Schoenersville Cemetery (near Catasauqua and the airport).
According to the 1777 militia roster, Michael served as a private in the 5th class in the 1st Company of the 1st Battalion of Northampton County militia. Michael and several other men from this company roster show up on the Williams Township tax list of 1790, indicating that he did not move Schoenersville and/or Whitehall Township until some time later.
Thanks for any help!
