Also in the 1850 Kaufman county, Tx census is my great-great grandfather, James Weldon Reeves. He is living in the household with a J.W. Terrell. We know from our DNA test that we are descended from Robert Ryves of Dorsett, England, but we don't know where we fit in. I had looked at your Thomas before and wondered if he was related to our James. James named one of his son Thomas. We think James's father was a Morrison Reeves from NC, but not totally sure. I've never seen it written anywhere officially. That info was handed down in family lore. We have a photo of James's father and he sort of looks like a Quaker or something from the hat he is wearing and the way he is dressed. James was born in Indiana but we know his father also lived in KY before going to Indiana. We have a photo of James, also.
