Yanick,I have been searching in the US for my Reeves line for many years and believe I should have been searching in Candada. My great grandfather. J.W. "Jim" Reeves was born in 1873 and is said to have been a Frenchman whose family came from Tennessee in 1850s.
I wondered if you have any way of referencing your book without too much effort, to find a Reeves family that may have gone from Canada to Tennessee as late as 1850 or possibly earlier.
J.W. was said to have been "a tall, dark eyed, Frenchman", married in 1898 in Arkansas to my great grandmother, Sarah Bogan born in Arkansas whose family were from South Carolina. (She was also part French, her mother being a Pettit of South Carolina Pettits with ancestors back to 900 AD in France and UK).
I would be very appreciative if you could tell me anything about the Reeves that may have traveled to Tennessee from Canada.I realize you must be busy with all the requests, but please put me on your list and reply when you can.Sincerely, Carole Reeves in California
