Samuel REEVES m. (1812) Honora B. WELLS
I would like very much to correspond and share info with *anyone* who is researching (or has knowledge of) a Samuel REEVES (c1791/2-BEF 25 JUN 1845) who married a Honora B. WELLS (1792-1874) on 12 JUN 1812 in Bainbridge, Ross, OH. I now am strongly suspecting that this "Samuel REEVES" is either a twin, or a younger brother, of my own John REEVES (c1790-1840). That John REEVES is my 4G Grandfather and he's been a "brick-wall" now for far too long...
PLEASE....someone (anyone?)...help me out here!
There are these days some extremely interesting posts being made onto the WELLS mailing List that indicate that a REEVES and DODDRIDGE family each were *very* closely-intertwinedwith a couple of prominant WELLS families in Washington Co., PA, Brooke Co., VA (now WVA), and Ross Co., OH between about 1780 and 1840. They all seem to converge at Samuel REEVES' parents, Nathaniel REEVES (1756-AFT 1840) and Anne DODDRIDGE (1770-AFT 1824) who were married in Washington Co., PA, in about 1788. Anne DODDRIDGE's mother, Mary (1748-1776), was originally a WELLS and the WELLS-DODDRIDGE-REEVES all seemed to freely intermarry in the aforementioned locations and time-frame.
So: is anyone who frequents this REEVES GenForum researching------or even remotely familiar with-------Samuel & Honora B. (WELLS) REEVES? If so, I'd dearly *love* to compare notes with you!
Greg Reeves
