Descendants of E. C. Gibson
Generation No. 1
1.E. C.1 GIBSONHe married ADA BOSOMWORTHY August 02, 18??.
Notes for E. C. GIBSON:
Col. John Gibson is supposedly in our family and was possibly a Doctor based in St. Louis. He was an alcoholic and left his wife. She came to see him and took their son back. She took the wagon through Judge Roy Bean's land in Texas. This information came form a book Jo Anne Reeves had given her niece Marilyn Sue Reeves. Can John possible be a father or uncle to E.C.? No other notes on E.C.
I have a record supplied by reenactors of the Civil War a list of men from Fort Laurens. The list shows GIBSON, Col. John, 13th VA, Commander of Fort Laurens. I received this in 1998 but the source has a 1991 header on the page.
Another story is that the father of Emma was so skilled he made a violin for the World's fair in 1930 that was only 3 inches in length.
