Hi Steve, Iam a new researcher on the Hicks/Reeves Line.I can not answer your question, but I am wondering if you know the ascent for John Hicks. My question is does the line ascend from:
Robert Hicks m. Sarah Reeves 1744, NC
John Hicks m. Ellinor Ellison 1730, NY
Thomas Hicks m. Mary Doughty 6 July 1677, NY
John Hicks m. Herodias Long 14 Mar. 1631,Eng
Robert Hicks m. Elizabeth Morgan 1596, Eng.
James Hicks m. Phoebe Allyne 1582, Eng.
Baptist Hicks m Mary Evarts 1582, Eng.
I found this line on the web, but if course, no proofs. In searching, The main problem seem to be ifJohn Hicks m. to Herodias Long is really the son of Robert Hicks and his first wife Elizabeth Morgan. My guess is that he did not come immigrate until some time after his father, because he is said to have married in England in 1631.

I want to be sure that I am not looking for the wrong ancestors.
