I'm desperately trying to find some family information for a friend here in Buffalo, NY....his name is Ronald Calandra. I'm looking for information on his mother...Margaret Mary Cleland of Buffalo, NY. She was adopted by Herbert P. and Alice Cleland (Rees) from Buffalo. Her birth certificate shows a date of birth of 11-20-37. She was married to Calandra (unsure of first name) but left him in the early 70's. Somewhere a John Rees comes into play as well...not sure of the connection to Margaret. His DOB is 1935 and he may have lived in Niagara Falls, NY . Alice Rees Cleland's Mother is Mary Ann Rees.
Herbert passed away on 1/20/55...he lived in Amherst, NY.
My friend is trying to find more info on his Mother's family (the Rees's as well as the Clelands)...and would love to find his Mom's birth mother..although adoption records in NY are sealed.
