Be careful when you make the assumption of a David Reel being in your family History as there are two of them. One was born in North Carolina around 1800 and lives in Virginia / WestVirginia for a while then moves to Knox Indiana where he dies in 1883. There is also a David Reel born 1793 in Hardy County, West Virginia. and he dies 7 Mar 1886 in Milroy, Grant, West Virginia. at the time of Death he is married to a Rebecca
The first David (North Carolina) is found in the 1880 census in Knox Indiana. The second David has his death certificate on record at the online West Virginia records lookup. My G-G-G Grandfather Jacob Reel is according to his marriage certificate to his second wife Elizabeth. I am not certain to which David this is though likely it is the David born in West Virginia. Be careful..... very careful
