Eldorado, Illinois Reed's, Help, looking for my grandfather and his family.

I am searching for my biological grandfather or family members. From what I have found from court documents, his name was Donald Eugene Reed. He had my father out of wedlock and charged with "Barstary" in 1949 and was taken to court. Someone named Arvil Reed paid his fines. I am guessing it was a parent. This was in Jersey county. I believe Donald lived in Alton Illinois at one time. His nickname was "Beanie or Benny". My aunt states that he and his family was originally from Eldorado, Illinois.

I would greatly appreciate any information.
