Hoping to find "cousins" among the descendants of William and Mary READ. Children were Richard b Sep 1791 in East Allington, all the rest were born in Grantham: William b Jan 1797, Mary b Jan 1795, Elizabeth b Mar 1797, Catherine b May 1802, Thomas b Aug 1808. As far as I know Thomas had three children: Richard b abt 1831, Louisa b 1837, William b 1843. My husband's side of the family is descended from John b Jan 1800. John married Mary Ann Wiseman and their children were: Anne Elizabeth b 1836, Georgina Stanley b 1841, Alice Mary b 1846, Charles Stanley b Jan 1848 and John Franklin Wiseman b 1850. I am curious about the name Stanley and wonder if any other "cousins" carry that name as well. Why or when the READ became REED, I don't know. Greetings to all from Canada.
