Searching for more information on John W Reece b. 1823 KY, son of David Reece b.1792 SC & Elizabeth Janes b. 1800 Adair Co, KY. He married Elizabeth Nuckolds b. 1823 KY (Nuckols, maybe Nichols) in Barren Co. KY on Sep 23, 1841. They had one son together that I know of Edward Riley Reece b. Mar 2, 1845/1847 in Adair, Co KY d. Sep 30, 1924 Metcalfe, KY who married Rachel Elizabeth England daughter of Jordon England & Nancy Margaret Sparks. John W Reece evidently abandoned his family unknown date and remarried to a woman named Nancy Cox Mills b. 1819 KY where I find them living in the 1860 census of Cleveland, Hancock, Indiana. Nancy & John married Feb 24, 1852 in Pulaski, Arkansas. Nancy was previously married to an older man named William Mills having at least one son with William named Robert Mills b.1849 Arkansas. I found Nancy living with William Mills in the 1850 census out in Eagle, Pulaski, Arkansas. I believe Nancy and John W Reece had one son together named John Reece b.1861 Indiana. Nancy is listed as a widow in the 1870 census out in Leavenworth Kansas living with son Robert, and son John Rees (Reece). Nancy had the last name Haunnill in this 1870 census so she could have possibly remarried or this may be a middle name and last name is left off. I found Nancy living in the 1885 census of Leavenworth KS with son Robert Mills with the last name Reece. Elizabeth Nuckols Reece married for the second time to a man named Robert Whitlow b.Mar 1, 1814 KY d. Aug 17, 1907 KY in 1852 Metcalfe, KY. Elizabeth & Robert had at least three sons William M Whitlow b. Jan 1853 KY, Joseph A Whitlow Sep 28, 1856 Metcalfe, KY d. Sep 7, 1937 Detroit Wayne Michigan and Solomon B Whitlow b. 1859 KY. More information is needed in regards to John W Reece such as death date, date of spousal abandonment, or any other such information. I am also searching for more information on John Reece b. 1861 Indiana. I cannot find John W Reece, Elizabeth Nuckols Reece, or Edward Riley Reece in the 1850 U.S. census.
