Richard,I am sorry that I may have misled you.Evidently there were two Christian REEBS...the one being mentioned by Dana was not the same person as Christian REEB son of Theobald.What I told you does pertain to Christian & Theobald...not the Christian who was originally mentioned.In fact Christian is carried by the spelling of Rape in 1860 census of Butler County, PA. This family first set foot on American soil when they arrived at the port of Baltimore in the year of 1803 along with Theobald Reeb's father in law, Heinrich Wilhelm Goehring and his family. There were other Reebs to follow in later years.This Butler County family are very interesting in that they did anglicize their name to be spelled Rape however they have not lost sight of their correct name since they first arrived.In fact as late as 1939, they were still appearing the church records in PA as REEB at the same time they were being spelled RAPE in Civil Matters.John V.
