I am researching my ggrandfather Henri Reeg
who came from Mulhouse Alsace Lorraine.
Born in 1833 and came to US sometime before
1860.

He had family in Alsace. I know of one sister
Louisa.

Wonder if we have two spellings of the same
origin name?

I have also heard that is was once De Reeg
but have no confirmation. I know that Reeg
( pronounced Ray-guh with hard "g") has been
spelled many different ways.
