I found this info on someone's rootsweb page. These are who I have as my ancestors (be it correct or not). http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2788435&id=I558688966 "Philip Karcher appears on the ship manifest as a passenger on the "Ship Leslie" that sailed in 1749 from Palatinate, Manheim, Zweybreckt, Germany to Coews, England to PA, USA. The ship captain was, Captn J. Ballendine. The document is signed by Thomas Lawrence, Esq, Mayor and recorded at the Court House in PA on Saturday, Oct 07, 1749. The arrival date was Oct 7, 1749. contributor: www.angelfire.com/oh2/paulal/libyweb/shiplog.html" It says that his mother was Anna Margaretha Reeb or Rabe and his father was Johann Philip Karcher. My descendancy goes down to Daniel E. Carriker who was the son of George Carriker and Catherine Blackwelder. Does this info help at all? I know there's about a million conflicting stories on the web, but you seem pretty knowledgeable about genealogy. Hopefully, there is some clue about one of these people in your research. Fingers crossed! Jamie Notify Administrator about this message?
