I am relatively new to genealogical research and I was most curious about John Reeb's misspelling on an enumeration form. My immediate ancestors' last name was changed officially from Rape to Rapp. I am resonably sure that Reeb was a spelling for some of my earlier ancestors (circa 1900). I have been trying to track down the lineage of George W. Rape, ne. Reeb, who lived in Zelienople, Butler County, PA during the 1900 census. He was born in Aug. 1855 in Pennsylvania and was married to Elizabeth Mickley.

I am still looking for information about my ancestors with the surname Rape or Reeb who lived in the vicinity of Butler County, PA (western PA).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
