I have James Olen A. REDMAN=REDMOND, Sr. who married
Mary A. Woodson HODGES n=03 Dec 1819 (with 6 children)
as the son of either a Miles or a George REDMOND
who emigrated from the United-Kingdom
(either Scotland or Ireland,Tipperary ?).
James Olen REDMOND is found on the
1850 Census#7 of TN,Sumner-Co ed#17 occ=carpenter.
Sorry but I don't have more going backwards on that line.

Here is some info on the REDMOND family of VA,Charlotte-Co
(this area was previously part of Pennsylvania).
William REDMAN=REDMON=REDAM, Sr. was born
about 1715 in Scotland. He emigrated to America.
By 1743 he was living in VA,Lunenburg-Co,Cornwall-Parish.
1743 He was deeded land near Falling-Creek,
north & south of the Roanoke-River.
1750 "Wm. REDMOND tithe=1" was on the Virginia Tax List p123
"from Little Roanoke up the Fork" taken by William CALDWELL.
1754/02/09 Deed from William READMAN=REDMAN of
VA,Lunenburg-Co to John COX of VA,Lunenburg-Co for L40,
all that tract of land in VA,Lunenburg-Co on the branches
of Staunton-River & Walles=Wallace-Creek, about 300 acres
bounded by Richard RANDOLPH & Joseph MORTON & GORE.

(witnesses) John COLLIER & Joseph COLLIER & Francis COLLIER.

None of them went to Tennessee that I know of.
