What a stretch!!!Redman is a very old and
rather widespread English, Irish name. There have been some notable Redmans in England as your Britannica will reveal. Our
family tradition is that some of the older members in this country still had a "brogue".
We, however are still stuck at the John Redmans of Tennessee, probably father and son,who died about 1808 and 1828. See my other postingsfor further details about this family.Any help would be appreciated to help us get back to the next genneration.
I am very proud of my German Hildebrand, Laseman, Deppe, and Schulze ancestors. We have visited the small village they came from. Our Redmans are certainly not German, however!
