My dad's birth mother was a REDHEAD (she died when Dad was 11) and I have the Des Moines line back to CN and England. Dad's father remarried to Alva BROWN VanDEVENTER. I am interested in hearing more on your REDHEADs in Des Moines. The REDHEADs also married into the KIRKWOOD family when Samuel J. KIRKWOOD was governor of Iowa.
