Hi Annette,
Just happened to look at the forum today.

I read somewhere in my early search for REDHEADS that the family lineage originated in NBL as ship builders way back in time and came to prominence in the royal courts of England. A ship is the dominant feature on their family crest and looks very impressive.
I am seeking info on JOHN REDHEAD of LINCOLNSHIRE.
He lived on the CAMBC & LINCS southern border. 1796-1858
a farmer / labourer not as impressive as your people.
