Reddan Name & Origin
Posted by: James Reddan (ID *****7688) Date: August 05, 2008 at 23:04:39

I had the priviledge to travel to Ireland in the past year and did some looking around/digging for my father who has always had an interest in the Reddan family Geneology. He can trace everything back to Trenton, NJ as one of the Reddan's was one of the "heads" at Princeton. Anyhow, the original form of the name was O'Redon with "Reddan" "Redden" "Redding" and "Reddon" all being derived from the original. The original O'Redon's were part of the servant class and I do have the coat of arms. I hope this helps everyone! Many of the family were from Co. Clare and some also lived in Limerick.
