After reading numerous articles on Mary Roberts RINEHART, I find it difficult to believe she wouldn't acknowledge the existence of a dau., no matter the circumstances. She was a very strong person. Today it takes 4yrs to become an RN, but don't know how long it took in the 1890s. She graduated hi school at 16 , and matriculated from nursing school 1896, and married Stanley 1896. When would she have had time to have a baby? I think the person who fed the bio to Wikipedia was full of malarkey. Never, in any article about her life, including her autobiography, is a dau mentioned.
I find this type of misinformation rampant on findagrave. A researcher [I use the term loosely] will bury a person, not knowing deathdate/location, in the cemetery where the parents are buried, because this is where they should be! Found one man buried in NY and FL. You have to be so very careful with information you find on the Internet, and/or pedigrees.
If you find Elizabeth to be d/o Mary, I will eat crow!
