Omaha World Herald
Monday, November 30, 1953
It's plain to see why Mr.
and Mrs. Charles H. Norton,
3202 North Twenty-seventh
Street, have stayed happily
married 50 years. They ob-
served their golden anni-
versary last week.
"In all that time", Mr.
Norton told me, "we've never
had any serious differences.
Oh, of course we've quar-
reled. But whenever we did
it was usually my fault, so
I gave in."
Married in Lincoln in 1903,
the Nortons have lived in
Omaha since 1924. Mr. Nor-
ton is 78 and his wife, Martha,
They have 12 children - 11
still living - 25 grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren.
