Othello "Buddy" J. Beem, 58, formerly of Nashua, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at his home.
Mr. Beem was born March 6, 1948, in Mars Hill, Maine, a son of Milton and Antonette (Roma) Beem of Nashua.
He was the husband of Susan (Bernier) Beem, whom he married July 20, 1974. They shared nearly 32 years of marriage.
Mr. Beem lost his eyesight to complications of diabetes in 1976. He developed the trade he had as a youngster into a hobby of building street rods that he would dub "Blind Manís Bluff," poking fun at a friend who didnít believe he could do it. Numerous stories were featured in The Telegraph as well as on WMUR-TVís "Chronicle."
Besides his parents and his wife, survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Mel and Judy Beem of Jaffrey; a sister, Michelle Beem Gutierez of Lowell, Mass.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edgar and Conni Bernier of Gilford; several in-laws, Andrew and Cheryl Bernier, Julie Bernier and Joan Anderson, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins
Services will be held at a later date.
The Anctil-Rochette and Son Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
