Illinois Regional Archives Depository
Ronald Williams Library, 5500 N St Louis Ave,
Chicago, Ill 60625-4699

They will check all death records and send you a copy at no charge. Be sure to give as much info as you can for her.

Whether the above information is still valid today, I don't know but it's worth a shot.
