Hello Laura, thank you so much. You are a great researcher. But I know them already and I also have the contact and some of the pictures are from me. You see, Michael Winter is my great-grandfather. He set up a cemetry plot in Pittsburgh, PA. and there is a grave of Joseph A. Winter (12. Aug.1874 - 03. March 1898) and we do know him :-( And we know very much about the history, but we do not know nothing about the two siblings I am looking for: Joseph (the older (born 04. March 1846) and Franziska Winter (born 10. Sept. 1841), both in Bavaria. We have been in the German archives (which are not available in the internet) and haven't found any clue. Even ellisisland or castlegarden did not show anything. It's just Joseph A. Winter, who gives us some mysteries. And yes, they have been to Chicago, but that was before they came to Pittsburgh. Afterwards some of them moved to Germany (as my great-grandmother did) and to East Orange. But still haven't found sister and brother: Franziska & Joseph. I do hope, you are not annoyed, that I did not give you enough information. I had technical issues, now you can find some of the story here: http://www.monika-ihle.de/Winters/index.html. Is there still the offer, that you might send the naturalization record? Thank you for all your time and effort! Notify Administrator about this message?
