There was a family of Records living in Maury Co., TN (now part of Marshall co.)in early 1800's. (See 1820 Maury Co. census.) John and Sion Record were common names. They established the old Shiloh/Silver Springs Baptist church there. (See member list). By 1830, several of the younger Records and other members of the church had moved to Macoupin Co., IL (or Morgan Co. across the border). It appears that they then established another Shiloh Baptist church there along Apple Creek since one of the elders was John Record. If I recall correctly, some of these Records were buried at the Panther Creek cemetery near Scottsville, IL. My email address has changed to email@example.com
