I recently received a return message from a Record researcher who indicated that his line were French Protestants . He appeared to be very well educated in this area. HE also indicated a date of the 1640s when that happened.

THe question always is what in=s an Englishman and if your ancestors were immigrants , when do they become " Of this country" rather than outsiders
Like you, I consider my lineage to be English, but I need to consider a French lineage also. I guess it just depends on how far you go back. LIke all humans , We are all Africans in the long run
