My name is Hannah Reck and I'm researching on my families genealogy and am looking for more info. My dad is Robert A. Reck, his father is Joseph "Ed" Reck, and his father is John Reck. I know that John Reck came over from Italy. He was married to Celine who was from Belgium. John Reck bought her when she was 16 for around $1000. John Reck's real name was Geavani (misspelled I believe). When he came to the U.S. he changed it to John. They came straight to Iowa. I can't seem to find anymore info about John Reck before he came to America. If anyone knows anything it would be of great help. I'm 16 yr. old, so my dad and grandpa are still alive, and John Reck's wife (my great grandma is also. Her name is Eva. But she's not well enough to help me with this one. Thanks, take care!!!
