Hi Philip: I should have done this first, but all I did was go in a search engine under Union Hall, Whitehaven, England and several sites came up. Union Hall is a town on the west coast of Cumbria (I assume it may also be known as Cumberland). It is mentioned as one of the 40 Gem Towns of England along with Cockermouth in Cumbria. The economic base is or was mining and the sea. It looks beautiful. You might want to look at a website to get a feel for the area.
